Unbreakable Media’s Collaboration with STARK Resources: Filming the Zulu Lithium Project in Zimbabwe
At Unbreakable Media, we recently had the opportunity to collaborate with STARK Resources on an exciting project in Zimbabwe. STARK partnered with the Zulu Lithium project, located about 80km from Bulawayo, to develop an advanced lithium mining operation. Our role was to capture the essence of this pioneering project through high-quality video production that reflects the magnitude and importance of the work being done on-site.
Our team filmed key stages of the process, including the construction of a 20-meter high demo structure that will provide essential water for the lithium processing plant. We also conducted interviews with experts like Cottonwood, the Process Manager, and Derek Whittingham, the Project Geologist, to give an inside look at the project's progress. These interviews provided valuable context on the advanced stage of the lithium exploration and drilling activities. Derek explained how the team is now looking forward to entering the mining phase, which adds a new level of excitement to this initiative.

Capturing the Scale and Complexity of Lithium Mining
In such a large-scale and critical mining project, precision in capturing the details is key. That’s where Unbreakable Media excels. With the use of a licensed drone operator, we captured sweeping aerial views of the Zulu Lithium site and the impressive demo structure. Combined with on-the-ground footage, our video provides a comprehensive look at the size, scale, and complexity of the lithium project.
We made use of our specialized motion graphic techniques and track motion technology to add clear descriptions to the video. Every critical stage—from the construction of the water demo to the exploration activities—is highlighted, ensuring the audience gets a full understanding of the process.
Safety First: Following PPE and Client Requirements
Safety is always our priority, especially when working in industrial environments. Our team followed all personal protective equipment (PPE) rules and completed site inductions as required by STARK and the Zulu Lithium project management team. These precautions ensured that our crew could film safely while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Using the Right Equipment for a Seamless Shoot
Our video production success is due in part to the advanced camera equipment we use. From handheld cameras to aerial drones, we make sure every angle and shot is captured with precision. The equipment we use ensures that our footage is sharp, engaging, and meets the needs of projects like STARK’s Zulu Lithium initiative.
