A Complete Walkthrough Video production for STARK Resources Using Drone and Handheld Cameras
At Unbreakable Media, we recently had the privilege of creating a walkthrough video for STARK Resources in Pretoria South Africa, a leading engineering group in the mining industry. The project was focused on showcasing their vast premises, from overhead sky views to up-close details of their warehouses and offices. Using a combination of licensed drone footage and handheld cameras, we were able to provide a complete and engaging view of the plant, highlighting its impressive scale and operational scope.
Combining Drone Technology and Handheld Precision
For this project, we partnered with a licensed drone operator to capture stunning aerial shots, giving viewers a bird’s-eye view of the STARK premises. The drone fly-through started high above the plant, gradually swooping down through the warehouses and offices, offering a seamless transition between wide-angle shots and detailed close-ups. This method provided a holistic view of the facility, which would have been impossible to achieve with just one type of camera.
In addition to the aerial shots, we used handheld close-up cameras to capture the intricate details of the machinery and the daily operations of the plant. This combination of footage allowed us to offer a balanced mix of broad views and personal perspectives, making the viewer feel like they were walking through the premises themselves.
Motion Graphics and Tracking for Detailed Descriptions
To enhance the walkthrough experience, we implemented motion graphics throughout the video, using track motion technology to follow specific equipment and areas of interest. These graphical elements provided useful descriptions of everything on screen, ensuring viewers understood the full extent of STARK Resources' operations. This added layer of information made the video both visually appealing and educational, delivering a clear message about the company’s capabilities and industry expertise.

Having the right camera equipment during production was essential to the success of this project. We made sure to select cameras that could capture both the sweeping scale of the plant and the fine details of the machinery.
