For a CMC Networks internal communications project, Unbreakable Media filmed 20 employee interviews in a single production day.
The production required careful scheduling, consistent technical quality and efficient on-set direction. Each employee also needed enough support to feel comfortable and communicate naturally on camera.
Our scope included interview filming, lighting, sound, script support and creative direction. We also photographed the interior and exterior of the CMC Networks premises, delivering 92 professionally edited photographs.
Video editing was not included in our scope. The interview footage was organised and supplied for the project's internal post-production requirements.

The Production Brief
The objective was to capture 20 clear and consistent employee interviews within one day while also creating a professional photographic record of the company's premises.
The interviews needed to move efficiently without making participants feel rushed. While the technical setup remained consistent, every employee arrived with a different level of confidence and experience in front of the camera.
Some participants were comfortable immediately. Others needed more time, practical direction or help simplifying their scripts before recording.
Creating a Consistent Interview Setup
A reliable interview setup was essential when filming so many people in one day.
The camera position, framing, lighting and sound remained consistent throughout the production. This allowed employees to move through the setup efficiently while maintaining the same visual and technical standard across all 20 recordings.
Sound was monitored throughout filming, and the setup was carefully managed to reduce unnecessary interruptions or technical delays.

On-Set Script and Speaker Direction
Several employees arrived with scripts that felt too formal, too long or difficult to remember. Complicated wording can quickly make someone appear uncomfortable or overly rehearsed on camera.
As part of our creative direction, we:
- Refined wording to help the scripts sound more natural.
- Shortened sections where the message could be communicated more clearly.
- Adjusted phrasing to improve flow and confidence.
- Offered guidance on tone, rhythm and delivery.
- Guided each participant through additional takes where needed.
The intention was not to change what employees wanted to say. It was to help them communicate the same message in a way that felt comfortable and authentic.
Helping Employees Feel Comfortable on Camera
Most employees are not professional presenters, and being placed in front of a camera can feel intimidating.
Our role was to create a calm production environment, explain the process clearly and provide practical direction. This included helping participants slow down, work through difficult sections and repeat individual lines where necessary.
After years of filming corporate interviews across South Africa, we can quickly identify what may be preventing a speaker from delivering confidently. Sometimes it is the wording, sometimes it is the pace, and often the person simply needs reassurance and clear direction.
Interior and Exterior Corporate Photography
In addition to filming the employee interviews, we photographed the interior and exterior of the CMC Networks premises.
The photography focused on presenting the working environment, office spaces and exterior of the building in a clean and professional way. Careful composition and editing helped create a consistent collection suitable for the company's internal records and future communication requirements.
A total of 92 professionally edited photographs were delivered as part of the project.

The Result
All 20 employee interviews were captured within the scheduled production day, with consistent framing, controlled lighting and clear sound.
The interview footage was organised and supplied for the project's internal post-production workflow. Because video editing was not included in our scope, our focus was on capturing strong, usable footage and giving every participant the support needed to communicate clearly.
The project also delivered 92 professionally edited interior and exterior photographs, providing CMC Networks with a broader visual record of its people and premises.
Because the interviews were produced for internal use, this case study focuses on our behind-the-scenes production process rather than publishing the raw interview footage.
