In 2025, Advanced Fire Suppression Technologies celebrated its 25th anniversary with a gala dinner honouring the company's journey, its employees and the people who contributed to its growth.
Founded by Barries Barnard in 2000, Advanced FST has grown into a recognised provider of fire detection, protection and suppression services across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Brief
Advanced FST wanted professional photography and a three-minute highlight video capturing the full atmosphere of the evening, including:
- Red-carpet arrivals
- Speakers and formalities
- Dinner and entertainment
- Employee awards
- Group photographs
- Dance-floor celebrations
The final content needed to document an important company milestone while still reflecting the warmth and energy of the celebration.
Our Approach
We provided both photography and videography throughout the evening.
One camera was dedicated to capturing the speeches and formal proceedings, while a roaming videographer focused on guest interactions, reactions, entertainment and the spontaneous moments that gave the celebration its character.
A portrait area was set up near the entrance so every guest could be photographed on arrival. Award recipients were also photographed immediately after receiving their awards, giving Advanced FST a complete visual record of the evening and its winners.
The footage was edited into a concise three-minute highlight video that balanced the formal significance of the anniversary with the energy of the celebration.
Memorable Moments
The evening included several genuine surprises. Employees presented founder Barries Barnard with a portrait in recognition of his contribution to the company's 25-year journey.
Later, a DJ and dance floor shifted the evening into celebration mode. Founder Barries Barnard was the first onto the dance floor in his Springbok jersey—setting the tone for everyone else to join in.
The Outcome
Advanced FST received a professional photographic record of its guests, award recipients and key moments, together with a polished highlight video that brings the full evening together in one engaging story.
The content gives the company a lasting record of its 25th anniversary and reusable visual material for internal communications, social media and future company milestones.
